Awesome!  What kind of travel do you do and what kind of videos do you plan to make on your channel?

Peter Fritz No prob!  If you don't have a way to auto generate captions in Premiere Pro then you can output your video and bring it into CapCut.  There is an auto caption feature that works super well in that software

I edit in Final Cut Pro and I use an app called captionator that auto generates the text on screen for me.

Make sure everything is updated and try working in a new FCP file. If that doesn't work then sounds like a processing issue.  What are the specs of your computer?  What kind of footage are you dealing with.  You might need to proxy or optimize the footage so that it will be able to edit on your timeline with your computers specs.

Awesome!  Excited to see what you do with your channel!  Analysis Paralysis happens to all of us at some point.  I've found the best way to escape it is to start making videos.  When my head is down and I'm moving forward that feeling starts to go away.  One way to do this is start making some short form content.  Takes less time and you get that feeling of accomplishment by finishing a video faster which will help encourage you to keep going.

Great Idea.  I'm working on a series all about action cameras soon.  I'll put a section in there about technical specs and ways to approach more compressed footage that you typically get from action cameras.

I reuse clips all the time.  I think theres no issue in reusing b roll.  I actually built a stock library of my own footage in a FCP file so that I can search and find clips fast.

What you're trying to avoid is if that dip stretches much further to the bottom which is called the hockey stick.
