Luke Ruediger my favorite is 35 1.4, 50 1.4 and 20 1.8. If you want zooms then 20-70 f4 is a solid all around lens only downside is that you won’t get as much shallow DOF but it’s also not necessary to have a super fast lens because of the low light capabilities of the ZS-e1

Cheaper options for primes are the 35 1.8, 55 1.8

16-35 f2.8 is a good wide lens but more expensive.

Luke Ruediger are you mostly video or would you want a hybrid? The ZV-E1 is only 12mp which makes it a low light monster but not as good photo camera. However you have 4k up to 120 with no crop. A7CII is a good hybrid but only goes up to 4k60 and it crops into apsc for 4k60.

I’ve used both and they’re great however I didn’t end up keeping the a7cII because I’m mainly a video shooter and the ZV-E1 makes more sense for me

Your Samsung s23 can be a good all around camera. You could get some addition gear around the camera to make it easier to use as a traditional camera.  

However, if you do want a mirrorless camera as another camera on the trip then I have a few recommendations. 

Sony ZV-E1 - Full Frame, Will be a good video camera with super low light capabilities.  Perfect for outdoor content.  Lots of good features built in.

Sony ZV-E10 - APSC Sensor and much cheaper. 

Lenses to bring would be in the wider range because of landscapes and weather. 

Probably want something in the 16mm range for wide shots

35mm is great for hiking, 4wd and all around lens

50mm is great for cinematic footage and close up shots

You can find zooms that cover these ranges or use primes and get a few to cover what you'll need.   With APSC there are cheaper lens options but you wont have as good of a low light camera with APSC.

Usually I keep everything on manual and lock it to the same white balance.  For example if I'm shooting in bright sunlight I'll have all my cameras set to 5600K. 

If you're working in a run and gun setting where lighting is changing then you can use auto, but to keep colors consistent without changing mid shot then I suggest manual 

Working on that next.  Currently filming one on Titles and then I'll do the thumbnail one.

Nathan Michael Raymond I’m personally a Sony shooter so for that range I’d suggest the ZV-E10 and that leaves you with some money for extra lenses

I find that quick intros and super quick outtros make for better retention. Get someone into the video without too much fluff and in the outtro give a quick call to action and send them into another video
